Shipping Restrictions by State

At JE Machine Tech, we are committed to complying with applicable federal, state, and local laws regarding the sale and shipment of firearm parts and accessories.

Certain products may not be available for shipment to specific states, counties, or cities. If you receive a message during checkout stating that one or more items in your cart cannot be shipped to your address, please review the restrictions below.

Important: Shipping restrictions may change as laws and regulations are updated. This page is provided for general informational purposes only and is not legal advice. Customers are responsible for confirming that the purchase, possession, installation, and use of any product is lawful in their state and local jurisdiction.

JE Machine Tech reserves the right to cancel or refuse any order that cannot legally be shipped to the destination provided.

Locations We Do Not Ship Any Merchandise To

JE Machine Tech does not currently ship merchandise to:

  • City of Chicago, Illinois
  • Massachusetts
  • Washington, D.C.
  • Puerto Rico

If your shipping address is located in one of these jurisdictions, your order cannot be processed.

Alaska

JE Machine Tech does not ship any AR- or AK-platform parts to Alaska.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • AR parts and accessories
  • AK parts and accessories
  • Stocks and stock components
  • Grips and foregrips
  • Handguards
  • Buffer tubes and related components
  • Muzzle devices
  • Other products categorized as AR- or AK-platform components

Non-AR/AK products may still be eligible for shipment to Alaska unless otherwise restricted.

California

JE Machine Tech continues to serve California customers; however, certain products and orders may require additional processing.

California customers may be required to follow our California Retail Customer Purchase Guidelines before an order can be processed.

Certain configurations or products may be restricted, including but not limited to:

  • Threaded pistol barrels
  • Certain pistol configurations
  • Certain rifle configurations
  • Folding or telescoping stocks when used in a prohibited configuration
  • Pistol grips or forward grips when used in a prohibited configuration
  • Flash suppressors
  • Certain barrel shrouds
  • Magazines with prohibited capacities
  • Other parts that would create a non-compliant firearm configuration

Customers are responsible for ensuring that all purchased components are installed and used in a California-compliant configuration.

Colorado

Certain local jurisdictions within Colorado have additional restrictions.

Denver County / City of Denver

The following products may not be shipped to addresses within Denver:

  • AR or AK parts
  • Stripped receivers
  • Complete receivers
  • Non-compliant AR or AK pistol components
  • Magazines with a capacity of 15 rounds or more

Additional restrictions may apply depending on the product and firearm configuration.

Other Colorado Locations

Colorado generally restricts magazines with a capacity of 15 rounds or more.

Customers should also be aware of Colorado requirements affecting certain semiautomatic firearms effective August 1, 2026.

Connecticut

JE Machine Tech does not ship certain AR- or AK-related products to Connecticut.

Restricted products may include:

  • AR or AK parts
  • Complete AR or AK receivers
  • Stripped receivers
  • Stabilizing braces or blades
  • Vertical grips
  • Certain magazines
  • Certain parts that would result in a prohibited firearm configuration

Magazine purchases may also be subject to Connecticut permit requirements.

If an item in your cart is categorized as an AR or AK component, shipping may not be available to Connecticut.

Delaware

Certain firearm products and configurations are restricted from shipment to Delaware.

Restricted products include:

  • AR-15 or AK-47 rifle and pistol variants
  • Complete AR or AK lower receivers
  • Binary triggers
  • Short-barreled rifles (SBRs)
  • Short-barreled shotguns (SBSs)
  • Suppressors / silencers

Certain JE Machine Tech AR- and AK-platform products may therefore be unavailable for shipment to Delaware depending on the product and intended configuration.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that all products purchased, possessed, installed, and used comply with applicable Delaware and local laws.

Hawaii

JE Machine Tech does not ship any AR- or AK-platform parts to Hawaii.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • AR parts and accessories
  • AK parts and accessories
  • Stocks and stock components
  • Grips and foregrips
  • Handguards
  • Buffer tubes and related components
  • Muzzle devices
  • Other products categorized as AR- or AK-platform components

Non-AR/AK products may still be eligible for shipment to Hawaii unless otherwise restricted.

Illinois

Illinois has extensive restrictions affecting AR- and AK-platform products.

JE Machine Tech does not ship the following restricted products to Illinois where prohibited:

  • AR or AK parts
  • AR or AK pistol parts or kits
  • AR or AK rifle parts or kits
  • Rifle kits
  • Pistol kits
  • Stripped or complete serialized receivers
  • Upper receivers
  • Stabilizing braces
  • Certain threaded barrels
  • Certain muzzle devices or components used in prohibited configurations
  • Rifle magazines over 10 rounds
  • Handgun magazines over 15 rounds
  • Shotgun magazines over 5 rounds

Chicago

JE Machine Tech does not ship any merchandise to addresses within the City of Chicago.

Other Illinois municipalities and counties may impose additional restrictions.

Maryland

Certain AR- and AK-platform products may be restricted in Maryland.

Restricted products may include:

  • Complete AR or AK receivers
  • Non-compliant AR or AK pistol components
  • Non-compliant AR or AK rifle components
  • Certain magazines with a capacity of 10 rounds or more
  • Binary triggers
  • Certain parts intended for prohibited firearm configurations

Maryland also has specific requirements regarding AR-15 rifle configurations.

Customers are responsible for confirming that the parts they purchase will be used in a Maryland-compliant firearm.

Massachusetts

JE Machine Tech does not currently ship merchandise to Massachusetts.

Orders with a Massachusetts shipping address will not be processed.

New Jersey

Certain firearm parts and configurations are restricted in New Jersey.

Restricted products may include:

  • Complete receivers
  • Certain AR or AK pistol components
  • Certain AR or AK rifle components
  • Binary triggers
  • Magazines with a capacity of 10 rounds or more
  • Folding stocks when used in a prohibited configuration
  • Certain pistol grips
  • Certain components that would create a non-compliant firearm

Customers are responsible for ensuring that any JE Machine Tech product purchased for use in New Jersey is installed in a compliant configuration.

New York

New York has restrictions affecting certain AR- and AK-platform firearms and components.

Restricted products may include:

  • Complete serialized receivers
  • Components intended for non-compliant AR or AK pistols
  • Components intended for non-compliant AR or AK rifles
  • Magazines with a capacity of 10 rounds or more
  • Binary triggers
  • Folding or telescoping stocks when used in a prohibited configuration
  • Pistol grips or forward grips when used in a prohibited configuration
  • Flash suppressors
  • Certain muzzle devices
  • Threaded barrels when used in a prohibited configuration
  • Other features that may create a New York-defined prohibited firearm

Additional restrictions may apply in New York City, Buffalo, and other local jurisdictions.

Rhode Island

Rhode Island has restrictions affecting certain AR- and AK-platform firearms, receivers, magazines, and firearm configurations.

Restricted products and configurations include:

  • Complete AR or AK receivers
  • Non-compliant AR or AK rifles
  • Non-compliant AR or AK pistols
  • Rifle or pistol magazines with a capacity of 10 rounds or more

Certain semi-automatic rifles with detachable magazines may also be restricted when equipped with prohibited features, including:

  • Folding or telescoping stocks
  • Pistol grips or thumbhole stocks
  • Barrel shrouds
  • Flash hiders
  • Threaded barrels
  • Grenade launchers
  • Bayonet mounts
  • Fixed magazines with a capacity over 10 rounds

Because many JE Machine Tech products are designed for AR-platform firearms, certain stocks, grips, handguards, muzzle devices, barrels, and related components may not be eligible for shipment to Rhode Island when they are intended for a prohibited firearm configuration.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that all products purchased, possessed, installed, and used comply with applicable Rhode Island and local laws.

Virginia

Certain AR- and AK-platform products and configurations may be restricted in Virginia depending on current law and court orders.

Potentially restricted products include:

  • Complete AR or AK lower receivers
  • Binary triggers and similar trigger activation devices
  • Certain folding, telescoping, or collapsible stocks
  • Certain pistol grips
  • Forward grips
  • Threaded barrels
  • Muzzle brakes
  • Compensators
  • Flash suppressors
  • Certain pistol buffer tubes or braces when used in a prohibited configuration
  • Magazines exceeding applicable capacity limits

Because Virginia firearm restrictions have been subject to ongoing litigation and court orders, customers should verify current requirements before ordering.

Washington State

Washington State has extensive restrictions affecting AR- and AK-platform firearms and components.

Restricted products may include:

  • Parts kits
  • Build kits
  • Rifle kits
  • Pistol kits
  • Complete lowers
  • Stripped lowers
  • Certain AR or AK rifle components
  • Certain AR or AK pistol components
  • Telescoping stocks
  • Barrel shrouds
  • Flash suppressors
  • Certain muzzle devices
  • Forward pistol grips
  • Vertical grips
  • Threaded pistol barrels
  • Certain pistol components associated with threaded barrels
  • Magazines exceeding applicable capacity limits

Washington, D.C.

JE Machine Tech does not ship merchandise to Washington, D.C.

Other States

If your state is not listed above, most JE Machine Tech products can generally be shipped; however, state and local restrictions may still apply.

Some cities, counties, and municipalities maintain firearm regulations that are more restrictive than statewide laws.

Customers are responsible for verifying their local laws before placing an order.

Why Am I Seeing “No Shipping Method Available”?

If you see a message during checkout indicating that no shipping method is available, one or more items in your cart may be restricted from shipment to your destination.

Please:

  1. Review the state restrictions above.
  2. Check the items currently in your cart.
  3. Remove any restricted item and try checkout again.

If you believe an item has been incorrectly restricted, please contact JE Machine Tech Customer Service and include:

  • Your shipping ZIP code
  • The product name
  • The product SKU
